Pontiac complaint
I bought my 2004 Electric Blue Sunfire from Dale Downie Pontiac in London On. I drove it 1000 kms' and a noise developed in the front suspension after the first week . I called them after two weeks and told them I thought it had a noisy driver side front strut bushing . I live 2 1/2 hours from the dealership and they told me to go to my local dealer . I went to Slessor Pontiac in Newmarket , a guy calls me March28,2008 and asks me to okay a $59.89 charge for inspection ? He left me no choice or the car wouldn't be inspected . So after getting the car back , I notice all they've done is spray lubricant ( oil ) onto each front upper strut . the guy on the phone says well its an old car ! Old car at 28,000 kms? He should give his head a shake and spray the oil up there at no charge and have a happy customer leave their service department ! I am 48 years old and have had Chevrolets all my life and I really am starting to wonder why ? So if you here a noise when you go over bumps on the front , save yourself a few bucks and spray oil up at the bearing on your front struts . I own a 1971 Nova SS that I have serviced myself for 19 years , it doesn't make a sound when I drive it down the road . I believe its because i take pride in what I build . You'd think somewhere in a GM used car warranty they can afford to eat up this charge . Yes I'm pissed off ! P. Machek / Bradford Ontario Canada
